Earlier in the summer, we all travelled down to what is now our annual trip to see Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall at London Wonderground in the South Bank. It’s something we look forward to doing every year, especially Betsy who absolutely adores Monski. (In fact if you show Boo a picture of Minnie Mouse, she’ll call her Monski).

There is lots of dancing and the music is as good as ever, with tunes that everyone (mums and dads included) can dance to and we always come away with a new song to sing and dance to at home.

The Spiegeltent is such a lovely venue and there’s plenty of space for little ones to run around. Arthur particularly loved crawling around the booths and there’s an area with rugs and cushions for little ones to chill out on.

Monski Mouse is a brilliant host, waving to people as they enter the venue and chatting to the crowd in between songs. Two dancers encourage the kids to dance and make it a lovely experience for everyone and it never feels too busy inside the tent. It does get quite hot in there though, but there are jugs of water left out for everyone to help themselves to.

Dancing is one of those things that bring people together and visiting the baby disco is such a nice family event and even if you had a tough journey into town, or someone’s grumpy, or someone fell over in the nearby food market and smashed their face on the ground and got a nasty nosebleed (which is what happened to Arthur when we went), you end up with a big smile on your face within seconds of walking into the tent. We can’t wait to go again next year.

We were given tickets for Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dancehall in return for this review, however all opinions are my own (and even if we weren’t offered tickets, we’d go anyway)

I can second that this was a great event! We loved dancing to the classics, and had a blast dancing to nursery rhymes too πŸ™‚
