It’s been a while since I’ve shown you around our little garden and it’s looking so good at the moment I thought I’d give you a small update.

The garden is blooming!

It’s still very much a work in progress, it’s still a young garden and I think I could do with maybe a couple more structural plants in there (and I think I may dig up the lilac we have in the the corner of the garden, we got one bloom from it at spring – it’s time to replace it with something more productive), but I’m happy. The little apple tree we bought last year is doing really well and we have about 15 fruit on there at the moment.

I’m not sure how well this alpine is going to last, Arthur keeps picking bits off.

I love it at the moment and I think for the first time since living here, it’s been a real pleasure to be in the garden. We had a party last weekend to celebrate Glastonbury – a few friends and I used to go to the festival every year, but I’ve not been since I was pregnant and I miss it desperately. It’s not quite the same as the festival, obviously, but we do have a fire, pop on Worthy FM, drink fruit wine from Pennards and eat an awful lot of food. It also turned into quite a big forum to commiserate the EU referendum result, we were all quite angry and upset about the results and being together and having a few drinks was a really good thing to do. Hooray for friends!

Oh and we may have burnt a picture depicting Cameron and Boris kissing while Trump, um, looks on. (this is probably the most Glastonbury thing of all)

Jasmine, honeysuckle and lilac — on my, you have all the best scented plants in your garden. I had a chuckle about the drawing of Cameron and Boris kissing, you did a good job with Trump’s hair!! Beautiful photos.

Lovely garden and fun drawing – don’t blame you for burning them after this week! Succulents tend to be pretty resilient, I just hope he isn’t eating them… #hdygg

Ha ha ha Trump! So good!
I love how Glasto is the only festival that everyone joins in with even if they can’t be there in person. I’ve seen people pitching up tents indoors too to watch it!

Your garden looks lovely – the perfect venue.

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend x
