Weekly menu plan 27/02

27 February, 2017 1 Comments

Okay, a really quick post today, because I am STARVING and I’ve got to get cooking. Last week’s plan didn’t quite go to plan as we all got a tummy bug in the second half of the week, but we’re all better now, thank goodness. Currently in the oven I have some cardamom buns which we’ll have for pudding tonight and tomorrow. They’re a recipe from Scandilicious Baking and are apparently the Scandinavian thing to eat on Shrove Tuesday. They are smelling amazing.

Monday – Cheesy tuna pasta bake. Kinda boring, but the kids love it.

Tuesday – Pancakes, obviously! We’ll do the traditional crepe style with lemon and sugar, although I fancy cooking up some mushrooms with cream cheese and stilton, that’s a great pancake filler. Cardamom buns to finish. Five hours of putting the kids to bed afterwards because they’re gone totally hyper.

Wednesday – Kedgeree. I’ve always seen this as a strictly breakfast dish, but after having it for tea ’round Sian‘s house a few weeks ago I’ve had a hankering for it. The kids really like it and it’s easy to make. Winner. (Dave will hate it though)

Thursday – Slow cooked pork ragu and spaghetti

Friday – Fish and chips, to eat in the chip shop.

What are you cooking this week?

Ha I could happily eat breakfast dishes for each meal – we had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for tea!
